The Williamson Public Library began life in 1930 in a small, secluded section of City Hall. After 35 years in cramped quarters in City Hall, the Library was moved to its current site in the old Williamson World War Memorial in 1965. Today, the Williamson Public Library serves 4,600 residents in the city.
