Summary
It's Okay is about a young girl who is going through depression for the first time. She starts out feeling happy, however, she notices a change in how she is feeling. She tries to think about and understand her thoughts and feelings as to why she is feeling down and sad. She wants to feel better and get back to her happier self, but she feels stuck. With the help of her parents, she becomes more comfortable about talking through her feelings and thoughts. Her mother comes up with the idea of creating a feelings chart in order to help her daughter express how she is feeling, and her father also shares a personal story about his childhood to let his daughter know that she is not the only one who experiences depression. The young girl's parents teach her a phrase that will help her comprehend her feelings and thoughts: "It's Okay".
